Truly a gem of a course here in Ft Walton Beach. A Muni that stacks up against any of the resort experiences in the area. Pricewise, no comparison to others locally. It was an excellent layout, multiple tees, and a great challenge for all abilities. I had the good fortune to play the Oaks Course today and it was a delight. The Pro Shop personnel were extremely friendly, courteous, and accommodating. All in all one of the best golf experiences I've had in FL.

The course was in good condition, but the pace was so slow. Got behind a group that wouldn't let us play through; made my round a lot less enjoyable. I'm still giving a good rating b/c I liked the track, and truly believe I would've enjoyed it more if proper etiquette were followed.

Great layout and the course was in good shape for the amount of recent rain. Fairways had a few spots that needed a little work. The greens rolled true but we're a little slow. Pace of play was very good. I would play here often if I lived close by.

Fantastic, casual, relatively easy course. Slow greens and beautiful scenery. Just a quality course all around, no need to spend extravagant amounts of money to play quality courses down here in destin area. The weather and wind are not a problem at all and the people we met were so helpful and accommodating. Well maintained course and clubhouse. Stay hydrated!

I played the oaks course 11/13/23 very nice layout. The people there are nice. The greens are very nice I'd golf there again

I was moderately irradiated that my first time out here when I was told I could not walk before 10am. It is frustrating as a low single digit handicap single, that I was told I would slow down play walking, when the course is packed with groups of slow hackers on carts. But, the course experience, riding a cart was decent. Below is a review of each course. Pines: This course is not anything too special, it’s really short, even from the tips. There is nothing really protecting the course from bad shots, you can miss the fairways and miss the greens and still manage to go low. But it’s not too bad! Oaks: This course is way better than the pines course. Fun design, solid condition, but very short, even from the tips. You can play this course easily with wild bombs off the tees and nice wedges into the green.

Overall the facility and courses (The Pines and The Oaks) are pretty good. Atmosphere is relaxed compared to other courses in the area. Driving Range cost $3 per 30 balls, mats seem like they are replaced often. I haven’t ate at the restaurant but I’ve heard good things. For the price it’s a great value, and for the ones wondering yes it’s family friendly mu kids and I regularly visit.

Course was okay. Greens were very rough. Looks like there might be a fungus issue. Consider playing Winter rules for now. Course staff are very nice and the Clubhouse grill was a good place for lunch after the round.
